What happened?

Around 9:00 a.m., in the best weather and best mood, the Belgian, Dutch and German cycling friends met for the first joint tour on the Duke Limburg Trail. Stany Noel introduced the tour and his two companions, who secured us at the front and at the back along the way. Then we were off! From Limbourg to Baelen towards Welkenraedt From there to La Calamine! Now the mountain to Vaals had to be climbed and we were already in the Netherlands. These were crossed until we reached Seffent (D), where the Seffenter Berg had to be climbed once more. From there via Vetschau to Richterich/Bank. Now it was only a stone's throw to Herzogenrath and back to the Netherlands to Kerkrade at the venerable old Rolduc Abbey. There we had a short break and time for coffee! Some took a look behind the venerable walls, including the wonderful abbey church. But since Kerkrade was also celebrating the World Music Concour (WMC) that weekend, the organisers had moved lunch to the Landgasthof Wurmtal. There, the cyclists received a princely welcome with a delicious, varied buffet and, above all, fresh, cool drinks! After this extensive lunch break, it was back to Limbourg!
Our small section of the Ambassade, however, had another event in Rode Castle! We would like to thank the Syndicat d'initiative et de tourisme de la Ville de Limbourg (RSIL asbl) for the wonderful organisation and realisation of the bicycle tour on the paths of the Duke Limburg Path, which was honoured by this.
