Dialogue work with young people in the midst of the war of aggression on Ukraine
This year, after a long interruption due to the pandemic, young people finally met again, this time from Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Germany - as always in Kerkrade (NL) in the Rolduc Abbey for the Youth in Dialogue Festival. As always, a fascinating programme promoting encounter and imparting knowledge! This year, for the first time, a playful exercise to understand the dialogical stance. With the expressive figures of the artist Ernesto Marques, the young people were asked to create and explain positions of conversation, attitudes of encounter, constellations of expression. A social-dynamic game to promote communication in posture and attention to each other, or also the perception of misunderstanding and miscommunication! What a fantastic idea of a non-verbal encounter between young people of different nations and language regions!
From the point of view of the accompanying psychologist of the EURIADE, Dr. Jörg Schmitz-Gielsdorf, this is also a psychotherapeutically effective method that brought the young people into action with each other in a playful way for the first time in the EURIADE.
