Summer concert "Le Lys bleu" - A view from the Romantics

World premiere at the Ambassade - an interpretation of Astor Piazzola's tango!

This year's summer concert is dedicated to the blue lily "Le Lys bleu". In addition to wonderful music, a touristic concept will be presented that is entirely dedicated to romanticism.

The outstanding Armenian musicians Sona Barseghyan (piano), her mother Armine Grigroryan (piano) and Ara Arakelyan (saxophone) will be performing.

They will present a world premiere, a new interpretation of a tango by Astor Piazzola.

We have long hoped to be able to experience Sona Barseghyan again as a pianist in our Ambassade. Now the time has come! She now lives in Canada, but will be in Europe in August and we are extremely pleased that we were able to find a possible concert date during this period.

But that's not all! Sona comes from a family of Armenian musicians. Her mother Armine Grigroryan is not inferior to her as a pianist! As a personal friend of four-hand piano playing, it is a very special pleasure for me to be able to hear Sona play together with her mother on this evening!

And then even more! Her individual musical career allows her to play with ensembles that know how to interpret the tango music of Astor Piazzola, for example. On this evening we will hear Sona Barseghyan play musical interpretations of Astor Piazzola's tangos together with a colleague Ara Arakelyan, who has an excellent command of the saxophone.
With this concert, my friends and I would like to say thank you to you, to you, to life, which makes so many beautiful things possible for us!

"Music is the art of pleasing the ear, stirring the heart, setting the mind in pleasant activity and enriching the imagination with manifold ideas", Jack Buck.
In this tradition, we would like to keep music alive and honor it in our house.
