Walk around Kelmis
From Rolduc, we drive with the walkers in three cars to Hergenrath, where today's starting point is. First we have a cup of coffee and then we set off. Hub has prepared the hike and we take a tour around Kelmis through the hilly landscape with woods and meadows. There is a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Near the Moresnet railroad bridge, we descend into the valley where we take a short break. Then the route continues and we follow the course of the river Geul. We set off in good weather, but a thunderstorm is on the horizon. We reach the starting point in Hergenrath via the ruined Eynaburg castle in dry conditions.
