Family concert with Dirk K. and family
A special family occasion gives us the opportunity to experience guitarist Dirk Kleutgens, who hails from Aachen, live at our venue.
Dirk, who has been developing his career as a jazz musician for over two decades, first in Los Angeles and later in Las Vegas, will be giving a surprise concert at the Ambassade du Pays de Rode, his former childhood home. He wants to surprise his mother and father, to whom he wants to give this concert as a present. Elisabeth and Dietrich Kleutgens are the previous owners of the 'Ancien Palais du Prince-évêque de Liège' and we have enjoyed a long and soulful friendship since we took over this property and were able to continue running it as the Ambassade du Pays de Rode.
Dirk has brought his son Philip with him, who is training as a classical saxophonist in the States. Together with the Japanese pianist Takahiko Sakamaki, he too will offer his grandparents the state of his musical development.

He took his first piano lessons at the age of five from his aunt and entered the Toho-Gakuen College of Music, where he studied with Prof. Yoshimi Tamaki, Mr. Masataka Takada and Mr. Toru Kimura.
