Soirée Ecclésiastique at the Ambassade

How do we finance the restoration of the Èglise Saint Georges?

What has happened?

Festive clerical evening at the Ambassade

The reason for this is our wish to express our gratitude for the support of the Ambassade in the past since its inauguration in 2009, as well as to revitalize the contact between the Dutch and Belgian sides.
For this reason, the Ambassade extended an invitation to a joint dinner, which was catered by Mr. Gerd Rauw Zeimers from the Alte Herrlichkeit in Eupen. The Bishop of Liège Alouis Jousten, the Dean of Verviers Mr. Xavier Jacques, the Dean of Kerkrade Dr. Borghans and the Bishop of Roermond Mr. Franz Wierts were invited, but unfortunately he was unable to attend the evening due to time constraints and was represented on the Dutch side by Mr. Deken Dr. Borghans. Also invited was Mr. Benedikt Zeimers, who together with Mrs. Mariette Seegers witnessed the installation of the Ambassadeur. The President of the Fabrique Eglise Mr. Bruno Poswick and his wife, who works with us on site in Limburg, and the Chairwoman of our Stichting HLP Catharina Scholtens were also invited.

To our great regret, Mr. Frits Sprokel also passed away very suddenly on 12.11.2012, one year after the death of the old ambassador Mr. Jack Buck. As you will certainly remember, Mr. Sprokel was the main initiator of the establishment of the Hertog Limburg Pad, author of the corresponding accompanying literature and a highly committed person in the related working groups. We would like to remember Mr. Frits Sprokel in a special way on this evening.
